Full Job Description

The post holders will be members of the multi-disciplinary Healthy Young Minds service working as part of the integrated Mental Health Support Team which will support schools across the borough.

The post holders are responsible for providing mental health assessments, evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions and consultation for children, adolescents and families and professionals.

In addition, the post holders are encouraged to develop a specific therapeutic modality as a specialty for the service.

Wave 12-To address unmet need and health inequalities within each locality, ensuring better access and outcomes for underrepresented groups. This is line with the ambitions and objectives of the Trust's This is Us Strategy and Working Together Partnership Strategy and will provide an opportunity for MHSTs to go further to achieve those objectives and promote life chances whilst reducing inequality. We look forward to welcoming to our team which is currently based at our Trust Headquarters in Ashton with plans to relocate to the Stockport area in the near future.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an integral part of the MHST. You will use your clinical skills to listen to the needs of the child and family to provide meaningful evidence based interventions, that can demonstrate clinical change.

You will support staff in schools and colleges to help the whole system develop an understanding of how to work together to improve health and mental wellbeing.
