Full Job Description

This role will support GP Practices in the Mid-Notts Placed Based Partnership (PBP), with the aim to reduce the backlog of diagnostic spirometry created by the Covid-19 Pandemic. This will be achieved by performing diagnostic spirometry on patients and by supporting nurses in General Practice to achieve ARTP accreditation to enable them to independently undertake spirometry.,

  • Support Practice Nurses / Practice Managers / care coordinators to identify adult patients who require spirometry for diagnosis of respiratory disease and to prioritise those patients whose clinical need is greatest.
  • Work with the practice team to identify times to run spirometry clinics within GP practice settings
  • Deliver high standards of patient care using advanced autonomous clinical knowledge in the specific area, incorporating broad in depth knowledge base and evidence based practice.

    Registered first level nurse
  • Membership of a professional body (NMC)
  • ARTP certification for performing and interpreting spirometry
