Full Job Description
The Governors wish to appoint a committed, highly motivated and caring person to join our team of Midday Assistants, supervising children from Reception to Y6 during lunchtime.
Duties will include:
- Acting as an excellent role model for the children, encouraging them to develop their social skills.
- Supervising children to and from the hall and during mealtimes, promoting excellent behaviour at all times.
- Encouraging children to eat correctly and to develop independence in clearing away.
- Cleaning and putting away tables, brushing the floor as needed.
- Interacting with the children and using initiative to organise activities to engage them on the playground (or in the classroom when it is wet play)
- Attending Midday Assistant meetings and training.
- Having due regard for all school policies especially those relating to Safeguarding, Behaviour, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and confidentiality

The successful applicant will act as a responsible caring adult with the health, safety, and welfare of the children always in mind. Basic childcare and health and safety knowledge, along with previous successful experience of working with primary school aged children is essential., Hours: 6.5 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday & Friday 11:45 and Wednesday & Thursday 11:15am - 1pm term-time only. May also be required to cover absence on an ad-hoc basis.
