Full Job Description

Core Antenatal Services Midwife working and delivering care across three Services:- Pregnancy Assessment Unit, Vaccine Service and Antenatal Clinic., We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Midwife to join our core Antenatal Service team at Royal Derby Hospital site. As part of the Maternity Transformation programme, we are implementing the Birmingham Symptom Specific Obstetric Triage System (BSOTS) within our pregnancy assessment unit. It is a busy outpatient department with Antenatal Services Midwives working long shifts (A or B shifts) across 7 days/24hrs. You will require demonstrable experience as a registered Midwife and be able to adapt to different work environments within Antenatal Services., As an antenatal service midwife you will work in and deliver care across 3 services: Pregnancy Assessment Unit (PAU), Antenatal Clinic and the Vaccine Service. Duties will include working on the 24hr dedicated Triage phone line, triaging patients on arrival to PAU and providing ongoing care. You will also be responsible for the running of antenatal clinic, including midwife clinics and supporting to administer antenatal vaccines.
