Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Pay Technicians to support the
United States Air Force, 48th Comptroller Squadron located at Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath, United Kingdom.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of military pay services for active duty, reserve, and/or retired
service members as well as annuitants. The Incumbent will determine, process, and follow-up on a wide variety of
complicated pay actions in one or more specialty areas (e.g., active, reserve, retired, and/or annuitant) which require carrying
out numerous different and unrelated procedures. The incumbent will have to research, audit, and make pay adjustments
involving a variety of pay problems. Will also have to manage, resolve, and process a wide range of complicated debt
collection cases. Will perform miscellaneous technical tasks in support of military pay actions as well as, provide customer
service.

  • This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

  • 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the
    requirements of this certification program.
  • Position is on a Fixed schedule. Monday - Friday 0800-1630

    Knowledge of a large body of rules, regulations, laws, and procedures for one or more military pay

  • Ability to interpret/apply regulations and procedures related to military pay.

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

  • Ability to operate a calculator.

  • Ability to use a keyboard; a qualified typist is not required.
