Full Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our team of minibus drivers on either a part-time or full-time basis. If applying for a full time role the minibus driver position will be combined with a facilities assistant role which is currently being advertised on our website. As minibus driver the hours will be Monday - Friday, term time only, 6.30am - 9.30am, 3.30pm - 6.00pm, and occasional late shifts from 5:30pm - 7.30pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting pupils, maintaining vehicle safety, helping with parking duties and upholding the School's high standards. Responsibilities

  • Operate one of the school's bus routes, collect
  • children from given pick-up points along the route and deliver them to school (mornings), collect them from school and drop them back at the given points (afternoons)
  • Conducting all duties with a friendly but
  • professional manner
  • Carry out and record basic vehicle maintenance
  • checks on a daily basis prior to each time the vehicle is used in accordance with procedures 4 | Claremontfancourt.co.uk,
  • Ensure the minibus is kept clean and in good
  • condition inside and out
  • Ensure the safety of passengers and road users
  • at all times
  • Ensure that the School's reputation is upheld at
  • all times. Report any faults or incidents to the Estates and operations manager
  • Liaise directly with parents when necessary.
  • Record the mileage and usage of the minibus for
  • all journeys
  • Fill minibus with diesel
  • Assist with directing parent parking during
  • morning and/or afternoon drop off
  • Attend summer meeting (first Saturday of July)
  • and some Open Mornings (Saturdays) to help with various duties including car parking
  • Attend the site in case of bad weather e.g. to
  • assist with snow clearance
  • Undertake such training in the safety and welfare
  • of children as may be required from time to time and apply the training as required in the roleAdditional duties
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating
  • to child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, freedom of information and report all concerns to the appropriate person
  • Participate in and contribute to own continuous

  • Full clean driving licence with Category D1
  • Previous experience driving a minibus.
