Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Minute Taker to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.

This is a temporary post working 29.6 hours per week (4 days) Monday to Thursday covering maternity leave initially for 6 months until 23 February 2025 or when the post holder returns which ever is the sooner. This post sits within Children's Social Care based at Ripon Street, Preston, PR1 7LY providing support to operational staff in relation to the minute taking of various meetings. Due to the nature of this role, there is an expectation that you will be expected to work from a variety of locations. You could be really experienced in administration or looking to build on your previous experience and there is no better place to do this than with us. We are working a combination of home and office working, therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection.

Knowledge and Experience - Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.

Great Communication - You'll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
