Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual, who can demonstrate their ability to lead Mixing team, effectively managing all resources to deliver the agreed KPI's relating to production volumes, quality, costs and safety. Shift: Monday - Friday; 07:00-16:00 Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Overall responsibility to deliver the daily production plan in the most cost effective manner and in full compliance with current customer/brand product specifications, GMP, food hygiene and health & safety legislation
- The effective management of resources to deliver agreed yield, productivity and customer service targets covering all areas within Mixing Department
- The management and development of a multi skilled, multi-disciplined mixing team operating on all shifts
- Manage throughputs - ensure Area Leaders understand targets
- Report hourly to the wider team all production issues
- To ensure Yields, waste (material and time), stock rotation, labour is effectively managed in a timely cost-effective manner
- To have a detailed knowledge of the customer's product and to ensure conformance
- To ensure completion of daily production plan and satisfaction of internal customers' orders
- Complete audits of the areas to ensure compliance of our internal audit procedures and take actions to resolve
- Motivate, coach and instil good management skills in Mixing managers, Co-ordinators, MSMTs and other team members. Establish a strong presence on the floor to set and communicate expectations, standards, and evaluate results so all employees understand expectations
- Re-view non-conformities for determining root causes, creating corrective actions, providing customer follow ups through Technical/HR and close them off with an acceptable timeframe
- Participate and promote reward and recognition as well as employee engagement initiatives
Experience in fast paced food manufacturing, preferably chilled food environment - Be confident and articulate and have previous experience leading a team
- Have the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
- Be self-managing, result driven, calm and demonstrate a 'can do attitude'
- Have the ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
