Full Job Description

To undertake professional Asset condition and verification surveys of predominantly Mechanical & Electrical building services across the client's estate, to update and validate current asset lists and asset conditions against CIBSE Guide M classification grading's and to BS8544 to provide a full and concise asset register for each site.

To carry out asset verifications for new builds and acquisitions, ensuring all assets are captured to the mitie taxonomy and to satisfy DWP hierarchy requirements.

To produce the required outputs and reports and ensure that the correct SFG coding is used for the correct asset type.

To highlight any H&S issues that arise during the asset survey in the correct and appropriate manner.

Main Roles and responsibilities.

-To safely carry out asset condition surveys across the DWP estate

-To use the supplied software to accurately record asset details and defects

-To ensure that the assets have a CIBSE guide M condition rating that reflects the assets age and condition.

-To assess the assets in line with BS8544 gradings.

-Confidently identify missing assets omitted from existing asset registers.

-To have an understanding on asset lifecycles (years)

-To demonstrate an understanding of asset compliance requirements.

-To liaise with the asset management team on the outcome of a successful survey.

-To manage and plan site access with Mitie and DWP support

-To devise a suitable systematic delivery programme to deliver surveys within agreed timeframes

-To complete their duties in line with the H&S at work act 1974 and comply with all relevant codes of practice.

-To have an understanding and awareness of technical and legislative requirements and standards in relation to the role.

To have prior knowledge of asset condition and verification surveys.

-Be time served in a mechanical or Electrical discipline.

-Have a knowledge of a building M&E assets with a sound knowledge of "associated assets"
