Full Job Description

We are looking for a Caretaker to join our Estate Services team based in the West Midlands. As a Caretaker you will be responsible for carrying out an excellent caretaking service which will involve communal cleaning, sweeping, mopping and cleaning doors and windows. The role will be lone working, however you will join a wider team of Caretakers and will provide cover to other schemes when required. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality services, demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and high levels of customer service.

The role of Caretaker will include:

- Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, removing bulk waste and tidying bin stores
- Grounds maintenance tasks to include litter picking and general upkeep
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition

Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) would be advantageous
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Flexible with good communication and customer care skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence, Disability Confident
