Full Job Description

Equans is looking for a Mobile Cleaner and Handyperson to join our team in Dartford County & Family Court, DA1 1DX and surrounding areas, Kent, Sussex and Surrey. This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,000 to £27,000 depending on skills and experience and benefits package,

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

What will you deliver?

The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive tasks on a wide variety of surfaces, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and Equans processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.

Activities will include but not limited to -

  • Inspect/repair/clean floors, walls, ceilings and roofs

  • Inspect/repair/clean drainage and gully systems

  • Inspect/repair/clean doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture.

  • Painting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/signed/notices

  • Carry out Ad-Hoc activities supporting Equans and Client team including Moves/Changes


  • For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

    In order to meet our customers requirements, the post holder must go through Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). This is a form of Security Clearance set out by the Government which goes through several checks.

  • Employment History (past 3 years): Any gaps will require HMRC statements for the period in question.

  • Right to Work Status in the UK: Citizenship or valid share code.

  • Unspent Criminal Record: Disclosure of any unspent convictions.

  • Significant Periods Abroad: Any periods of 6+ months spent abroad in the past 3 years., Must have-

  • BICS

  • Handyman (experience)

  • Cleaning (experience)


  • Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in cleaning, painting, plumbing or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment..

  • Understanding of Legionella control techniques
