Full Job Description
Job Purpose: To provide a professional facilities service to a group of nurseries, ensuring the highest level of service is provided whilst supporting the business and Nursery teams. We are seeking a well-organised individual with strong general repair skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to travel. A bias in plumbing and electrical work would be a distinct advantage. We are looking for three individuals to join our team in St Albans, Milton Keynes, and Cheshire. Key Relationships:
- Internal: Buildings and Maintenance Manager, Regional Managers, Nursery Managers, and all Support Office Functions.
- External: Contractors, Landlords, and families attending Ashbourne Nurseries., Perform PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Perform routine basic landscaping of the grounds.
- Paint and repair (internally and externally).
- Undertake light installation and building of cabinets and children's toys (flat packs).
- Repair equipment or appliances.
- Assist contractors with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs (where needed).
- Undertake duties as assigned by the FM or emergency tasks (e.g., salt distribution in inclement weather).
- Identify and report the need for ongoing and major repairs.
Proven experience in Facilities maintenance. - A good understanding of Health and Safety.
- A good understanding of Fire Safety.
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing maintenance.
- Team player with high-level communication skills.
- Well-organised and apt in problem-solving with good attention to detail.
- Willing to travel further afield when required.
