Mobile Plant Operator

Working as part of the sites integrated mobile plant team focusing on leading exceptional, SHE standards and meeting operational targets, the Yard Operative is responsible for the safe operation of the mobile plant equipment ensuring the daily loading & unloading of all product, consumables & select Raw Materials by use of Fork truck, Clamp truck, Loading Shovel and/or Dumper truck as required for all site-based tasks.

• Ensuring that Health & Safety rules are adhered to and deliver safety/operational performance targets, supporting a culture of health and safety best practice.
• Comply with all Tarmac/CRH Policies & Procedures.
• Supporting continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental performance standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement of process, plant and production.
• Effective completion of operator preventative maintenance tasks
• House keeping duties along the Bell Mouth, parking lot, End of Line, Yard & perimeter edges to be always kept clean and free of all debris / weeds.
• Ensuring mobile plant cleanliness standards.
• Sorting Pallets, shifting product and marshalling packs.
• Ensuring daily compliance checks and standards.
• Building working relationships with other production, yard and maintenance personnel.
• Good time keeping and flexibility.
• Ensure you read, understand and sign method statements and risk assessments for all activities.
• Attend and actively participate in scheduled Briefings.
• Actively look to identify inferior product exiting off the end or stacked product in the yard and ensure correct product placement as per Yard placement maps.
• Mobile plant activities will include but not be limited to the following:
• Loading & unloading of 3rd party Haulier trucks (Pallets, AAC Blocks, Aluminium drums, Oil filled IBC's, plastic wrapping, general stationery, crushed waste and other consumables)
• Unloading of production end of line product.
• Special Capital equipment offloading / transporting onsite.
• Comply with planning and other operating restrictions i.e. site boundaries, noise, dust, hours etc
• Ensure Daily KPIs are recorded accurately and work with the team to meet agreed KPI's
• Work towards daily operations of the plant in line with the operating SOP's
• Actively participate in Root Cause Analysis when required in respect of Quality, Safety and Mechanical issues.
• Administration of machine logs, servicing etc

• Operational process experience
• Heavy plant and equipment experience
• PC literate and capable of being guided to complete online learning.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 50001 standards.
Skills:
• Good oral and written English skills
• Multi skilled mobile plant operative capable (through effective training) to safely undertake all site based mobile plant activities.
