Full Job Description

The post holder:
+ Performs some semi-skilled maintenance tasks and checks, including basic Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks for Water, Fire, Ventilation, Electrical and Building Fabric to ensure the Trust's buildings and grounds adhere to statutory compliance and are fit for purpose.
+ Installs, maintains, services and repairs a range of estates services equipment across all areas of their responsibility. Delivers small Minor Works projects as agreed with QTS.
+ Competent Person level in at least one of the following: Water, Electrical, Ventilation, Lifts, Fire, Medical Gas, Pressure System, or other estate-related area.
+ Assigned to a designated zone. On occasion, may be required to work across other zones.
+ Builds relationships with Site Service Managers (SSMs), QTS staff, stakeholders and external service providers and contractors, to support the delivery of services in a professional, timely manner., + Uses CAFM system to access work requests and feedback on job status. Ensures own work is carried out within the priority set for the task, and any work not completed is highlighted to the Helpdesk. Ensures any work undertaken is recorded on the CAFM system.
+ Carries out reactive maintenance (including make safe), minor installations and break down repairs as required on electrical, mechanical systems, or building fittings in accordance with competencies and training. This includes for example making safe defects, breakdowns or failures impacting on the service such as floods, power outage, and damage to property. Undertaking basic repairs to maintenance and installations as appropriate to skills level.
+ Undertakes basic PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) technical tasks and associated remedial works in accordance with competencies and training. This includes for example daily/weekly tasks such as water temperature tests, flushing of water systems, fire safety system testing, and building and plant room inspections.

We are looking for an individual with a technical speciality such as Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical.
The post holder is a good team player, organised, and willing to do tasks as needed, with great attention to detail. The post holder is courteous in their interactions with staff, contractors, and service users at all times. The post holder is physically fit for undertaking maintenance tasks.
The post holder is able to organise their daily workload to complete the tasks in the given priorities, whilst meeting all quality standards, service level agreements and compliance requirements. The post holder is responsible for their own work including associated cleaning and porterage tasks, and complies with all NHS policy standards and health and safety requirements.
