Full Job Description

  • Carry out welding and burning duties as required by Site Supervisor;
  • Maintain and repair digging tools to the required standards;
  • Maintain and repair segmental casings to the required standards.
  • Key Tasks:
  • Communicate with site team for access and schedule of works required;
  • Maintain and repair digging tools to the required standards;
  • Maintain and repair segmental casings to the required standards;
  • Maintain own stock of welding equipment (rods, gas and oxygen);
  • Maintain safe working area, with barriers and fire-retardant screening.

    Work to the Bauer values of Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity and Respect;
  • Work in accordance with all the relevant Bauer company policies and procedures;
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team;
  • Able to follow instruction from site supervision;
  • Full driving Licence;
  • Ability to work away from home;
  • CSCS Steel Fabricator Welder accreditation;
  • Able to communicate clearly within the crew;
  • Self-motivated;
  • Able to organise their activities;
  • Able to work to HSEQ standards;
  • Proven experience of procedures relating to their key discipline;
  • Experience of Bauer equipment and the systems;
  • Knowledge of procedures relating to their main piling discipline;
  • Experience of piling and ground engineering processes.
  • Experience
  • Proven experience as a specialist foundation equipment welder;
  • Proven experience working with Bauer type tools and equipment.
  • Desirable attributes:
  • Basic Mechanical knowledge of Bauer equipment;
  • CPCS slinger/signaler;
  • GCSE English & Maths (or able to demonstrate a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy);
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel and word).
