Mortgage Product Manager

Our Mortgage Product Manager contributes to the delivery of our specialist mortgage strategy and products. This role influences how the Bank achieves our commercial goals, and also the development of brand new products to create even more FANS. What you will do:

• Support the development of the end-to-end mortgage proposition
• Help to deliver specialist mortgage products at pricing that ensures the portfolio develops in line with Commercial expectations
• Take the lead on the proactive pricing activities of our mortgage products to help the Bank achieve targets in line with our specialist mortgage strategy.
• Create and make use of competitor reporting, market changes
• Develop new products and propositions in line with agreed processes that maximise market opportunities
• Continue to develop the customer retention strategy as the business matures and grows
• Act as the subject matter expert for all things specialist mortgage products (for example, limited Company buy-to-let mortgages)
• Collaborate with key stakeholders regarding the maintenance and development of our mortgage products. These stakeholders will include our Lending Operations, Mortgage Distribution, Risk and change management teams. You may also be required to work alongside our external partners

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
  
  You will previously worked within a Product Management role as an SME for mortgages, or similar
• Good general knowledge of the UK Financial Services marketplace, including having a deep understanding of mortgage products and policies
• Ability to understand customer value creation potential and value drivers
• Have a deep understanding of customer needs, attitudes and behaviour in relation to specialist mortgage products
• Demonstrable experience of supporting the maintenance and development of specialist mortgage products
• Understanding of the commerciality of mortgage products and the wider product field
• Experience in interpreting and delivering against a product roadmap
• Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills
