Are you a dedicated and passionate teacher with a special interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Our SEN school in Lewisham is looking for a motivated KS3 Class Teacher to join our supportive team. You'll have the opportunity to work with students who benefit from personalized learning approaches in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Role Overview: As a KS3 Class Teacher, you will develop and deliver tailored lessons for a diverse group of students with SEND. You will play a key role in fostering a love of learning, promoting independence, and encouraging positive social and academic development.,

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are differentiated for students with a range of SEND.
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, including teaching assistants, to ensure that students' individual learning needs are met.
  • Regularly monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with additional needs.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence, engagement, and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each child.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching KS3 students with Special Educational Needs.
  • A creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and families.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and safeguarding.
