Motor Trade & Fleet Underwriter - Existing Business

Your role as a Commercial Fleet / Motor Trade Underwriter will involve working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from these accounts.

You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques. This applies to existing business within our agreed process and defined underwriting guidelines.

You will spend most of your time working with your broker panel identifying, discussing, negotiating and renewing existing business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions.

We have opportunities across a range of business classes, including Motor Fleet, Motor Trade and Property & Casualty.

As the Commercial Underwriter you will be handling cases ranging from £2,000 - £250,000 premium

To be successful in your role, you will ideally require experience within Commercial Insurance with either an insurance company background or a broking background.

However, we will consider applications from candidates who have worked in personal lines insurance or who have experience within another line of business or from a similar background such as claims or customer service.

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Underwriter to join our established and experienced Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis. The role can be worked from our London, Maidstone or Horsham offices.
