Full Job Description
The Motor Transport Administration Officer (MT AO) is responsible to the Travel and Transport Manager (T&T Mgr.) through their Line Manager (LM), the Deputy Transport Manager (DT Mgr.), for all aspects of their purposes and tasks.
The MT AO is involved in the administration and delivery of all transport office outputs within the MT, ensuring that all support is delivered efficiently, with cost effective provision of business transport services.
The successful candidate will be required to achieve successful competency in the following courses: Royal Navy Motor Transport Supervisors Course
To Administrate the delivery of all transport office outputs within the MT, ensuring that all support is delivered efficiently, with cost effective provision of business transport services. Working iaw NCHQ Policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
You will be required to keep all Mandatory Training up to date.
Providing office services including good administration of tasks, prioritising and allocating all transport bookings, issue of and receiving of all Hire and White Fleet (WF) vehicles, using the Clarity management tool.
Reporting any vehicle defects, ensuring the vehicles remains off the road until rectification is complete. Monitoring the general maintenance and preparation for use of the WF Vehicles through first and last parade sheets. Identifying when a vehicle has not been cleaned or damage or mechanical faults have been identified.
Ensure that Driving hours are completed by all personnel driving any vehicle with 8 seats or more.
Carry out such other administrative tasks as and when required.
The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, comfortable with uncertainty, and resilient to change.
A good understanding of MOD working environment would be desirable, but not essential. The job holder is responsible for the following, which is not exhaustive: the ability to work independently, as well as working effectively as part of a team, use Office 365 applications for both Serving and Civilian Personnel.
