Full Job Description

  • Ensure Safety checks are completed on all machinery in use.
  • Conduct audits every month
  • Ensuring that all machines and assembly lines run efficiently and all product is of the correct quality
  • Ensure all work equipment is in good working order and inform the business engineers if not
  • Timely requisition of parts and consumables from stores and ensure production is maintained
  • Monitor overdue shop orders and ensure work is planned in accordance with the shop order need date
  • Follow up on all actions following the monthly Safety, Process Improvement and Department Meetings
  • Continually improve the processes in moulding and assembly area to increase efficiencies
  • To tightly control requisitions from stores and maintain a log of PPE and Work wear issued
  • Investigate any accidents or near miss incidents that have occurred in the department and completing the necessary documentation
  • Control of Pass Outs in the absence of the Manufacturing Process Supervisor
  • Monitor and manage any absence within the team
  • Make sure all handling and vehicle checks are carried out daily
  • Communicating with the FLT and BT drivers delegating and monitoring their daily duties aligned to the daily risk report
  • Checking stock reflects what is showing on IFS, and liaise with stock control to arrange PI checks and adhering to process
  • Making sure all storage areas are to a high standard for stock accuracy and health and safety
  • Checking the daily risk report and making sure all WIP is in place including external components
  • Filling in KPI's and carrying out the daily management briefs over the 3 shift period
  • Carrying out the 'what good looks like' house keeping audits with the team maintaining housekeeping to a high standard

    Experience to manage all the departmental resources to guarantee it is utilised in the most effective manner
  • Understand the planning and product priorities process
  • Knowledge of product range to guarantee that products selected for packing is to the correct ,visual and dimensional quality as defined on product internal specification information
  • Knowledge of product labelling process to guarantee the correct labels are attach to appropriate product / stillage
  • Knowledge of breakdown fault finding and rectification process
  • Experience of the transfer of data onto relevant systems (ERP, BARCO, PRODUCTION & QA SHEETS ). The data to be recorded is production booking, downtime, scrap and quality checks
  • Knowledge of H&S and Environmental requirements
  • Knowledge of Disciplinary procedure

  • Monday - Friday, 3 shifts, 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm / 10:00pm-6:00am
