MPM1506 Personal Assistant

To provide support with social outings and help her remain as independent as possible., Minimal support with personal care, mainly to make sure I am safe
Assistance preparing lunch and may involve lunchtime cooking
Taking me in your own car to local places I enjoy
Assisting me or participating with me in some of the activities I enjoy
Keeping me company at home, watching a film etc.

I am 43 years old woman and I have MS. I live in Ynysybwl and enjoy going to the cinema, out for meals and going to the local pub. I have mobility issues, plus some cognitive issues, I have a good sense of humour and really like socialising. I do get days when I'm moody and can be difficult but just need the people around me to have the patience to get me through it., Outgoing person with a good sense of humour and patience.

Someone with initiative to help change repetitive routines and introduce/suggest new interests
A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone's home
A driver who is willing to use their own car if necessary for which mileage will be paid or claimed for direct from their monthly tax.

ABOUT THE JOB

Although this is a part-time job, it will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The salary will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given (5.6 weeks pro rata).

The post is subject to a probationary period and a DBS (Police) Check at no cost to you. You will have to supply 2 references, one of which should be able to comment on your work practices.

Saturday 3 hours, Sunday 3 hours. Times to be arranged.

Providing sickness and annual leave cover for my other PA.

RATES OF PAY

£13 per hour plus 45p mileage allowance where applicable
