Full Job Description

To provide a high quality community based physiotherapy service to people with musculoskeletal
conditions in the London borough of Newham. The Team is committed to offer patients:

In addition, our Extended Scope Physiotherapists work collaboratively with GPwSI in Rheumatology and Orthopedics to facilitate effective and efficient patient care pathways. The post holder will act as an autonomous practitioner and manage a defined caseload of complex cases independently, evidencing problem solving and clinical reasoning skills in line with evidence based and client-centred principles. The post holder will be contributing to team development. The post holder will assist with the gym operation., To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work, ensuring a high standard of clinical care for clients under your management.
To accept clinical responsibility as an autonomous practitioner for a designated caseload of clients, and organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
To undertake the assessment and clinical diagnosis of clients using investigative and analytical skills; formulating an individual management and/or treatment programme using advanced clinical reasoning and a range of treatment skills, including knowledge of alternative treatment options.
To assess clients understanding of treatment proposals and their capacity to give informed consent, and working within the legal framework when clients lack capacity to give consent to treatment.
To undertake the continuous assessment and evaluation of the treatment programmes and modify them according to the client's needs.
Independently manage a caseload of complex cases providing a specialist physiotherapy service to all residents of Newham with complex physical, cognitive, psychological, social,
sensory and emotional needs, taking account of people's diversity
Establish a therapeutic relationship with clients and carers to gain their participation
Develop specialised programmes of treatment, rehabilitation and maintenance in collaboration with clients, carers and other agencies by selecting the most appropriate intervention options.

Our Community
We provide a wide range of community health and mental health inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, and older adults in The City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We also provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, and provide Forensic services to the whole of North East London. We provide services in urban and rural settings, sometimes in our inpatient units, but mostly in the community close to where people live. Integrated care is key in making the best use of resources and providing effective care.
