Full Job Description

Are you an experienced, motivated musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist looking for a new challenge as part of a dynamic, innovative and supportive team?

We have the perfect opportunity for you; the MSK Hub Lead for the South (Crewkerne, Chard, South Petherton and Yeovil).

This role involves having overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Physiotherapy service for the hub, providing leadership, including organisation, delegation, and individual line management of team members, and working closely with the APP Hub lead for the South to promote service and colleague development.

The role will allow you to take an active part in the development of the MSK Physiotherapy service, providing advanced specialist advice, teaching and training, regarding musculoskeletal management and ensuring a high standard of care within the hub. You will maintain a clinical caseload of at least 60%.

You will be joining a motivated team of a Band 4 exercise instructor, Band 5 and 6 physiotherapists and osteopaths, supported by Enhanced and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners visiting the departments. You will work closely with the Leadership team, including department leads working out of the bigger sites within your hub and lead on the delivery of timely and consistently high-quality care.

Main duties of the job

To have overall responsibility for the day to day operational management of the MSK Physiotherapy service for the hub.

To provide leadership for the MSK Hub including organisation, delegation to outpatient department leads and individual line management of team members.

To take an active role in the development of MSK physiotherapy service and colleagues within the Hub, linking with the APP Hub leads.

To link proactively with colleagues, within the Hub and other Hub leads, to ensure the smooth running of the service.

To maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 60%.

To provide advanced specialist advice, teaching and training, regarding MSK management of physiotherapy outpatients.

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy services to outpatients referred by consultants, GP's, other HCPs and urgent care facilities.

To take and active role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of senior and junior physiotherapy colleagues, exercise instructors and students.
