Full Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to join our MSK Team on a 12-month part time secondment as Service Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and organised individual to take a key role in the day-to-day operational management of the MSK Service whilst supporting the Clinical Team in the delivery of excellent patient care and driving service development and improvement.
We are looking for individuals who have experience in line managing teams including sickness & well being management, key performance monitoring, recruitment and on-boarding. Applicants must have experience of capacity & demand modelling including staffing, estates and clinic utilisation. They should be able to demonstrate experience of budget management, waiting list management and delivering on activity targets whilst being well versed in data analysis and report creation. The suitable candidate should have experience of risk management and dealing with incidents and complaints., Providing operational leadership in partnership with the Clinical Leads to deliver high-quality, safe clinical services.
Overseeing resource allocation, rota management and workforce planning across the service.
Monitoring service performance, provide operational assurance and prepare reports for senior stakeholders and committees.
Developing and implementing service improvement strategies and Cost Improvement Plans (CIP).
Managing the service budget effectively, meeting financial and activity targets and ensuring efficiency.
Ensuring effective risk management and governance arrangements are in place, promoting a culture of continuous service review and safe practice.
Contributing to the Trust's overall performance through strategic planning and development of service activities.
Establishing strong working relationships with divisional colleagues, clinical staff and external commissioners.
