Full Job Description

  • Manage and operate integrated campaigns across online and offline channels
  • Use research data to inform marketing decisions, targeting, planning and delivery
  • Publish, monitor and respond to editorial, creative or video content via website, social media/video sharing platforms and offline platforms
  • Use data analysis to support content planning based on events, cultural moments, and BBC priorities
  • Create impactful content using principles of design and copywriting for online and offline mediums
  • What will you be studying? You'll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. The curriculum will take you through several core modules, including marketing fundamentals, analysis, planning & strategy, campaign management, content & communication, and analysis & evaluation. The learning for this course is delivered online., This scheme starts in September 2025, and you will be on a fixed term contract which means your contract is for the duration of the apprenticeship only. The duration of this scheme is 18 months., Apprentices starting at BBC from September 2025 will be placed on a 'Fixed Term' contract. This means your contract is for the duration of your apprenticeship only. The BBC is committed to investing in new talent and as you approach the end of your apprenticeship, we will work with you to support you and offer you employability and networking training to help you secure your next role - this might be a job here at the BBC, or somewhere in the wider media industry., Scripted Marketing: The Scripted Marketing team deliver campaigns across TV, Radio, BBC digital platforms and in paid media to bring as many viewers as possible to our shows across Drama and Comedy on BBC iPlayer. We work on huge, famous TV brands including EastEnders, Doctor Who, Gavin & Stacey and more, and we have fun working with teams across the BBC in Publicity, Social, Creative and Media Planning to bring big, noisy campaigns to life. TV Social Planning: The TV Social Planning Team manages the social media output for the Content division, overseeing some of the BBC's largest social accounts, including BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Our team is composed of diverse talents, including content producers, video editors, and social strategists. We pride ourselves on being nimble, innovative, and creative. Our primary goal is to help the BBC reach and engage audiences under 35 on social media platforms. TV Social Campaigns: The TV Social Campaigns team delivers social media campaigns with creative ambition & mass scale across multiple genres, to promote BBC shows, drive awareness, and bring audiences to BBC iPlayer. We see social campaigns through from start to finish and produce exceptional social content at significant scale that resonate particularly with young audiences in the UK but also with a wide audience at large. From crafting great copy to editing videos and analysing performance, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to the team's success whilst developing yourself working on shows like The Traitors or Drag Race UK. Unscripted Marketing: The Unscripted Marketing team deliver campaigns across TV, Radio, BBC digital platforms and in paid media to bring as many viewers as possible to our shows across Entertainment, Factual and Docs on BBC iPlayer. We work on huge, famous TV brands including Traitors, Gladiators, Race Across the World, Drag Race, David Attenborough and more, and we have fun working with teams across the BBC in Publicity, Social, Creative and Media Planning to bring big, noisy campaigns to life.

  • Can manage multiple deadlines and demands on time, By the start of the apprenticeship in September 2025, have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract.
  • Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation., Have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or equivalent qualification. If you have not achieved English and Maths at Level 2 by the start of your apprenticeship you will be required to achieve this, before the end of your apprenticeship when you take your end-point assessment.
  • Not already have a Marketing qualification at level 3 or higher.

    A starting salary of £21,840 (+ £5,318 London Living Allowance)
