Full Job Description

We're looking for a Multi-site General Manager to oversee all aspects of management across our Co-Living communities, Florence Dock (Battersea), Sunday Mills (Earlsfied) and The Palm House (Harrow) What you'll do

  • Manage the budget account for the building, ensuring the operation is run both efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure the building is legally compliant at all times and we act within the guidance of our regulatory body
  • Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards, recommending and implementing
  • necessary changes to working practices as required.
  • Oversee and review Health and Safety audits and appropriate follow-through, to ensure policies and procedures are being
  • properly implemented and a safe environment is provided for residents and staff and keep systems up to date.
  • Oversee the delivery of all annual testing and training of the onsite team to ensure total compliance, maintaining robust
  • records.
  • Deliver all aspects of the Property Management Schedule (PMS), ensuring that all objectives are met.
  • To act as a role model for the values and key behaviours across the organisation.
  • To recruit, develop and retain talent.
  • Management of onsite team rotas and temporary staff cover.
  • To ensure effective two-way communication, promoting a truly motivated team with positive staff engagement.
  • To identify and meet individual and departmental learning needs, acting as coach and mentor
  • To ensure the team operate with a clear set of processes and procedures with inbuilt measures of quality and control.
  • To oversee contractors and manage disputes on works, customer complaints and resolve any service issues with third parties, in
  • line with escalation procedures.
  • Ensure that the customer journey is smooth and effective creating a seamless experience to convert prospects into residents.
  • Run a legally and regulatory compliant building at all times.
  • Oversee the management of the building fabric including management of the facilities team who are employed to maintain and
  • clean the common areas of the property.
  • Procure and manage 3rd party contractor services.
  • Organise proactive maintenance works for the Facilities Team.
  • Provide exceptional service to the residents, including informed and accurate advice in order to ensure that resident retention
  • rates remain high.
  • Conduct pre-tenancy inspections to ensure that the property is immaculate prior to move in.

    First-class communication skills, both verbal and written, together with strong listening skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines and support the team to prioritise work, within a busy
  • environment.
  • Effective analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative, whilst respecting internal policies and external legislation and
  • regulation.
  • Effective people management and delegation skills.
  • Customer service skills at the highest level.
  • Networking and upselling skills.
  • Financial management skills and detailed understanding.
  • Conflict management and resolution skills, to manage any escalated complaints.
  • Industry specific knowledge, built up through experience of lettings or property management.
  • Knowledge in relevant regulations, legislation, guidance and best practice.

    A basic annual salary of up to £75,000
