Full Job Description

You will work closely with the Service Manager, to manage jobs from inspection, through carrying out the works independently and post inspection once works are completed. Because you will be sent to deal with often more complex repairs and customer complaints you will need to ensure you are delivering a quality service in line with the customer first standards and procedures making sure all work is delivered efficiently, effectively and resolving any issue. The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. Are you an experienced and Customer Focussed Multi Skill Trades Operative/ Plumber looking to really make a difference to our customers? Our Property Care team are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skill Trades Plumber based in Solihull and Leicester to support the Service Manager deal with a range of urgent and sometimes complex repairs including bathroom replacements, plastering works, and damp and mould remedial works. To be successful you will be an experienced Multi Skill Trades Plumber who has worked in Social Housing and can carry out and deliver a range of multi skilled maintenance repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, wall tiling, flooring, and decoration at an extremely high level., You will be qualified in Plumbing with a minimum NVQ Level 2, and could also hold further relevant trades qualifications, plus be able to demonstrate an expertise in carpentry, flooring, plastering and decoration, consistently delivering and resolving maintenance repairs at a higher skill set than other Multi Skill Trades Operatives. We want somebody who can: A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service. You will also own the work issued and be focused on Right First-Time delivery. We want someone who has:

  • Served an Apprenticeship in a trade based subject or obtained an equivalent NVQ 2 or City and Guilds level 2 in a relevant trade. Preferably we would like a Plumbing NVQ L2 qualification with further associated trades qualifications.
  • Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council
  • Experience of delivering multi-trade work
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Experience of keeping jobs on track
  • The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
  • Full valid UK driving Licence
  • As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.
