Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join our dynamic team at JLL UK. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient maintenance, repair, and operational support in accordance with industry standards and best practices at our client properties. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric mindset.,

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks and reactive maintenance as required, ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales and to a high standard.
  • Conduct repairs and fault diagnosis on various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, pumps, valves, fans, and heating systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and checks, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Proactively identify potential mechanical issues and take appropriate action to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service reports and work logs.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective communication and resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to enhance process efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the development of best practices.

    Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a mechanical bias, ideally within a commercial property or facilities management environment.
  • Recognized technical qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC), ideally supplemented with relevant trade certificates.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, pumps, valves, fans, and heating systems, and their associated controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills, with the ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical issues.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to work safely, conducting risk assessments and adhering to safe working practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and external contractors.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
