We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to…
Carry out essential maintenance working through a programme of PPM
Assist in developing the agility maintenance system
Attend breakdowns
Ensure machine safety standards are kept to the highest level and ensure critical spares are maintained
Install / maintain electrical & electro-mechanical plant machinery
Improve factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility
Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system
Program Siemens / other PLC equipment
Use various types of testing equipment to locate and remedy faults
Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
Actively contribute to the creation and review of RA and SSOW
Ensure adherence to Wienerberger's quality system & standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001
Hours of Work: 6.00pm till 4.30am, Monday to Thursday (nights)
Preferably you will be apprentice trained, but with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline. Successful candidates will be asked to provide copies of their relevant qualifications / carry out competence assessments
ONC/BTEC - HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical engineering
17th / 18th edition qualified
Sound knowledge of Siemens PLC's - s7 TIA portal
Time served Electrician with experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally heavy manufacturing (clay, refractory, quarrying, cement) or FMCG
Team player and strong communicator
Good exposure to health & safety standards
Excellent analytical & fault finding / problem solving skills
Good working knowledge of EHS
Passionate about improvement with knowledge of Lean manufacturing
Analytical & problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of electric motors / pneumatics
Sound mechanical knowledge and skills
