Full Job Description

We are hiring for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our 4 on 4 off days and nights shift in Hartlebury. You'll be part a team who ensure all our electrical/mechanical plant equipment and machinery are working efficiently and minimise downtime. We use specialised tools and machinery (including a kiln) which turns raw materials (such as clay) into products which are ready for use in the construction industry. Duties include:

  • Carry out essential maintenance and preventative maintenance
  • Help develop our agility maintenance system
  • Attend breakdowns
  • Ensure machine safety standards are kept to the highest level
  • Ensure critical spares are maintained to ensure minimal downtime
  • Improving factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility
  • Health and Safety advocacy and risk assessing

    You will be an experienced multi skilled maintenance engineer, with experience working in a production environment. You'll have high standards for health & safety and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • You will also have/be:
  • Apprentice-trained in a mechanical or multi-skilled engineering discipline
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance experience and diagnostics of hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical control systems
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • IT skills - working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisation skills
  • Awareness of IOSH is desirable but not essential

  • Hours: 4 on/4off shift pattern. Days (6 am to 6pm) and Nights (6pm to 6am) The typical pattern is 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off.,
