Full Time (40 hours per week) based in Norwich, however travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required

Starting Salary of £30,201 with progression opportunities to £33,496 per annum (depending on skill set)

Plus, Company Vehicle and Call out payments

Permanent Contract

 

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative, with a main trade of Plumbing, to join our Planned Works Team.

The role will work to help deliver our planned works programme, including Kitchen and Bathroom replacements, as well as aids and adaptations. Ensuring that works are carried out in a timely and efficient manner whilst providing a high standard of work to our properties. This is a key role in providing an excellent service to our tenants, so if you want to help make a difference, this may be the job for you!

The main focus of the role will be:

  • To be responsible for effective and efficient repairs to our homes, working within our Planned Team to complete bathroom installations as well as the installation of aids and adaptations in both empty homes and occupied properties.
  • To provide plumbing expertise and support to other planned works such as kitchen installations and complex repairs.
  • To support, when required with the responsive repairs and maintenance teams.
  • To complete allocated work within trade / skill set such as plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting / decorating and plastering etc.
  • To help us provide an excellent service to our tenants, minimising call backs and maximising first time fixes.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing.
  • Skilled in other trades such as tiling, carpentry, plastering.
  • A driving licence as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required.
  • Experience of working in Property Maintenance
  • Good IT, literacy and communication skills
  • A positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and problem solve.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join our on-call rota.
