Full Job Description

Following a merger between St Barnabas Hospices (incorporating St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House) and Martlets, we've undertaken a strategic restructure of the Fundraising and Communications teams and are recruiting to a number of new roles. These roles work across all three hospices and will play a fundamental part as we build and develop our new team. This is an exciting opportunity for driven, innovative and open-minded individuals to be a part of a ground-breaking collaboration for hospices across Sussex and South-East Hampshire. The Multimedia Content Creator plays a crucial role in telling the story of our hospices through video, photo and audio. You'll have a passion for creating standout content that captures the hearts and minds of our audiences. Whether it's taking a photo, capturing footage or recording one of our expert speakers, you'll be comfortable gathering material and editing it for a variety of audiences - this could include photography for use on care materials, a powerful video that supports one of our appeals, or a podcast to educate healthcare professionals about palliative care. No two days are the same! You'll need to be adept at working to brief and deadlines, as well as having the enthusiasm and ability to self-source content and stories from across the three hospices. This role is hybrid and will be based across our three hospice sites: St Barnabas House in Worthing, Chestnut Tree House in Angmering and Martlets in Hove. The proportion of time spent at the above sites will be agreed with your line manager. As this role requires the shooting of video, photo and audio at events and all three sites, there will be regular travel across Sussex and South-East Hampshire. Download the job description, We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer various family-friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.

St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care and community living well services. Our sister hospice, Chestnut Tree House, is the children's hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. You'll be joining our organisation at a very exciting time, as St Barnabas Hospices and Martlets Hospice are in the process of merging. Bringing our teams and resources together, as one organisation means we can focus on new and exciting visions and plans for our people and patients and provide even greater opportunities for our workforce., An enhanced DBS will be sought, if you are successful in this role. The safe recruitment of staff at St Barnabas Hospices is the first step to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults in our care. As an employer, we expect all staff and volunteers to share our commitment to safeguarding. The information you provide on your application form is the only information we will use to decide whether or not to short-list you for interview.
