Multiskilled Technician (Mechanical Bias)

Job Overview

Form part of a team to provide a high level of maintenance support to the M & E Supervisor to meet Mitie contractual obligations. This role is working on a shift pattern (6am-2pm followed by a week of 2pm-10pm). The successful candidate will need to pass a DBS prior to starting the role. The role will cover Freeman hospital and RVI located in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Main Duties

As the Multiskilled technician (Mechanical bias) you will be required to ensure all day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of M&E maintenance is completed in line with our contractual obligations. Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained in accordance with the O&M manuals, best practice and relevant guidelines/legislation.

It will also be required to assist in supervising subcontractors and monitor SSOQ, policies and procedures and work safely against all those stated. Part of the role will also be to respond to all reactive calls in line with our contractual time scales, complete job sheets, reports and documentation as required.

Other duties could include but not limited too keeping all plant/rooms/services enclosures clean, tidy safe and secure and to undertake any ad-hoc duties that may be necessary during the course of your working shift. Also to be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business that you work in.

• Must have experience and competence in relevant Health & Safety legislation

• 18th Edition or C&G 2391


• Desire to attain competency in other aspects of building services
