Full Job Description

We are proud of our inclusive school community and there is a real passion for teaching and learning in a supported and welcoming atmosphere that inspires risk-taking and creativity. As a school, we are committed to developing the whole person and it is a place where you can really engage students in their learning and develop as a teacher.

An exciting opportunity to join Latymer's busy and thriving Music Department. The wide-ranging duties require the successful applicant to have excellent communication skills, organisation skills, computer literacy, experience using excel spreadsheets and the ability to meet deadlines. You will be working under the supervision of the Head of Music, and will manage the day to day operations of the Music Department and will be a central point of contact, managing the flow of information between the school, parents, music teachers, staff, students and agencies. You should be able to work within a team and be able to communicate effectively.

The school also provides a range of well-being activities and facilities including good transport links, free parking, a cycle to work scheme, use of the fitness suite and even massages by a qualified masseuse. The school also runs a number of national and international trips, and we even have our own residential centre in a beautiful part of North Wales which staff also use. We value our staff and the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance.

If you would like to join this hard-working, able, and effective team of committed teachers, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that the school reserves the right to interview on receipt of applications, and to appoint prior to the deadline, so early application is recommended.

The Latymer School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment. Any offer of employment is subject to a satisfactory 'Enhanced with a Barred List Check' through the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The Latymer School is an equal opportunities employer.
