This is a fantastic opportunity for a Music & Drama Technician who wishes to become an integral part of the Music & Performing Arts departments within a secondary school setting. Our Music and Performing Arts departments are lively and creative with a talented and dedicated team of teachers with a passion for their subject. You will be creative, organised and technically minded with experience of using lighting and sound systems. You will need to relate well to young people. You will need to be flexible with hours - to fit the needs of the curriculum, and be available for the occasional evening work to cover performances. If you are passionate about working with students and encouraging their love of the arts and can effectively contribute to the school's popular and successful music and drama productions, then we would love to hear from you.

This role can also include hours as a Teaching Assistant within our dedicated SEN Department, supporting children with special educational needs. You will be calm with the ability to be firm and patient and have excellent written, numeracy and oral communication skills. Training and support will be provided.

Westfield Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, including the barred list, as well as other pre-appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024).
