Full Job Description

Sedbergh School, founded in 1525 by Roger Lupton, Provost of Eton, is one of the leading co-educational boarding schools in the north of England. Set in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park and within easy reach of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the English Lake District, the School benefits from excellent motorway and rail links to the rest of the UK.

The Senior School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Music and Drama Technician to provide technical support across both departments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all rehearsals, performances, and events. This role would suit someone with technical expertise in sound, lighting, and AV equipment, as well as a willingness to contribute creatively to productions. There is the possibility of splitting the mix of the role, for the right candidate. A flexible approach to working hours is essential, especially in the lead-up to major productions. The role is for a total of 1,350 hours per annum, to be worked through the academic year, as required by the Director of Creative Arts.

Alongside a competitive salary, Sedbergh School offers an attractive benefits package, including a Cycle to Work Scheme, free use of our swimming pool and state-of-the-art gym (outside pupil usage), and free lunches with boarders during term time.

Further details about the role can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification.
