Full Job Description
This role is for a committed and inspiring teacher to deliver Whole Class Wider Opportunities percussion projects (West African drumming and Samba) to primary aged pupils in school years 1 6 in Trafford Schools Monday to Friday during term time. The ability to teach other whole class instrumental programmes, curriculum music or small group instrumental lessons in addition to the whole class projects, on a different instrument type (woodwind, brass or strings) would be an advantage.
Your style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning & improving the way you do things to ensure quality music provision for pupils.
You will have excellent organisational and ICT skills and an ability to work efficiently to deadlines. Excellent communication, planning and delivery is essential to this role, and above all else we want to recruit someone with a love for teaching children and inspiring the next generation of children to be musical.

Trafford Music Service provides musical opportunities for children from across the borough. We are committed to enabling children from all backgrounds to access high quality music provision through curriculum teaching, whole class or instrumental lessons and ensembles.
We currently teach in primary and secondary schools across the authority as well as providing an after-school music provision at our Music Centre based in Sale.

This post is casual on Teachers' Pay and Conditions on the Unqualified Teacher pay scale 3-6.
The working days and times are to be confirmed but will include Monday to Friday school hours, and may also include an evening at the Claremont Centre for small group or 1-1 lessons depending on availability.
