Full Job Description
We are excited to present this opportunity for a Trust Registrar role in Emergency Medicine at the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. Working across multiple sitesPinderfields, Dewsbury, and Pontefractyou will be part of one of Englands busiest and most dynamic Urgent and Emergency Medicine services, delivering exceptional care to over 250,000 patients annually. This position is ideal for candidates seeking to develop a broad range of competencies in Emergency Medicine within a supportive and development-focused environment. These posts are not recognised UK training posts. Nevertheless, MYDoc doctors will have a named supervisor and supported in undertaking scheduled educational opportunities to consolidate and develop., The post will be part of our cross site middle grade trainee rota (CT3 or StR depending on relevant experience) which is compliant with working time regulations and the 2016 junior doctors contract, averaging 48 hours per week. Acute care at Mid-Yorkshire is now focussed primarily on our Pinderfields Hospital site although all our doctors are involved in delivering care to patients on all our sites, with support and supervision from senior colleagues. The main duties of the post will include:
- Provision of care with responsibility for the management of patients presenting to the ED.
- Referral of patients to other specialities as appropriate
- Involvement in specialty and cross-specialty multi-disciplinary teams and meetings
- Involvement in relevant administration duties
- Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate
- Active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities The above list is not intended to be exhaustive and it is likely duties may be altered from time to time in the light of changing circumstances and after discussion with the post holder.
