This is a full-time permanent post working in an innovative and forward thinking 'Think Family' Safeguarding Service atWrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.We are seeking a highly knowledgeable proficient professional with advanced skills in protecting children from neglect and abuse. You must have a genuine commitment to safeguarding under a whole family strategy. The Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children will provide expert advice, safeguarding supervision, intervention, and direction regarding children at risk in line with the Trust safeguarding responsibilities under the Care Act (2014), TheMental Capacity Act 2005, and the Trust Think Family Safeguarding Policy., You must have strong professional leadership, governance, assurance, and workforce skills and will be required to oversee the delivery of care and safeguarding interventions in line with our Trust values. Experience of working within or closely with NHS services is essential alongside being able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children at risk.The Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children will also be managerially responsible for the Safeguarding Children Practitioners within wider Think Family Safeguarding Service.Candidates are required to show evidence of their original certificates for qualifications to theinterview panel.The role will require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that aredesignated as positive and asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.
