An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, Band 7 Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults/Mental Capacity Act Lead. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive individual to join the corporate Safeguarding team at Spectrum CIC to provide leadership in Safeguarding Adults and the Mental Capacity Act. Our team works within prison healthcare, drug and alcohol services, primary care, and sexual health services. The Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults plays a vital leadership role in advocating for adults and ensuring that safeguarding remains a top priority within Spectrum services. Working closely with the Head of Safeguarding, the Named Professional for Adults will provide leadership, advice, and support on safeguarding matters, ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding requirements, and support the implementation of Spectrums Safeguarding strategy., The Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults will be a key member of the corporate safeguarding team, working closely with the Head of Safeguarding to support the safeguarding adults agenda across all services. This role involves providing expert professional safeguarding advice, providing supervision and support to staff across Spectrum's services, fostering positive relationships with Safeguarding Adults Boards and other key partners. Additionally, the post holder will serve as the lead for the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), offering expert guidance on MCA-related matters and ensuring compliance with best practice. As part of the Safeguarding team you will be responsible for providing visible leadership, knowledge and expertise in relation to safeguarding adults. The post holder will be expected to support the planning, facilitation and evaluation of a robust training programme that is consistent with the intercollegiate document (Adult Safeguarding: Roles and Competencies for Health Care Staff) 2024. The Safeguarding team primarily uses MS Teams to engage with staff across all business units. However, the post holder will also be required to attend sites when appropriate to build relationships with staff, encourage positive engagement, and deliver training as needed., Whether you are starting out in your healthcare journey or are an experienced healthcare professional looking for a new challenge we've got a role for you!
