Full Job Description

Schedule of Work: 48 hours per week as core hours. Mon-Fri with a morning start (7am) to help with the morning routine but finish times can be flexible., Other: A driver would be great but it is not a pre-requisite to apply for the role. Fluent English is needed and additional languages would be seen as a bonus.

This Family got in touch with Arthur's House as they are looking to secure an exceptional nanny for their two children in what is a loving, friendly and warm home. This family need an enthusiastic and flexible nanny who can fit into their busy lives helping out as needed across the normal duties needed to successfully run a household with two lovely young children.

The role:

- Ensuring the children are safe and cared for at all times. Help them to navigate the world they live in with guidance and care
- Help the family with the morning routine; this will include breakfast, nursery drop offs and dressing children for the day
- Help with after-nursery activities and learning as well as things related to the nursery such as World Book Day costumes
- Prepare delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for both children as needed helping with weaning, potty training etc for the youngest as well as general nursery duties as needed (changing nappies etc)
- Keep on top of laundry and cleaning related to the children - specifically making sure play areas are clean and tidy at the end of the day, prams are given the once over with a hoover and old clothes are put aside (when there is time to do so)
- Be ahead of things before they need doing! You should be alert to the general needs of the family and how to support them to keep things calm and smooth running throughout your tenure with them
- Be a positive influence on the children and represent the family well when out and about and in the home also
- Use your initiative to keep on top of basic tasks as needed on a day-today basis
- Attend doctors appointments as needed and administer basic first aid / medicines with agreement from the parents
- Play with the children - make their day full of fun and excitement. You should easily be able to rustle up some games for both children be that a cooking session, water and sensory play, educational activities
- Help the family manage the holiday schedule of activities, clubs, play and trips. Be able to plan for travel such as: packing suitcases, ensuring sun creams and hats are packed etc
- Keep communication channels open and clear with parents
- Travel with the family to their holiday home in Ibiza as well as helping the family on short trips to Germany and other destinations in Europe. You will not be required to join the family on every trip.

You should be a nanny who loves their job and is happy to come to work each day
- A positive outlook on life would be suited to this family as well as someone who is calm and competent
- You should be able to show exceptional prior experience as a nanny and have great references
- Childcare qualifications would be a bonus
- You should enjoy being outdoors as well as being able to entertain your charges on a rainy day in London! You will know every trick in the book to keep your charges in high spirits
- Bags of energy
- We would like to see (as a minimum) an up to date DBS check, First Aid Certifications and Right to Work in the UK
- You will need fluent English to apply for this role

- Emotionally intelligent and able to 'read the room'
