Nanny

A lovely family in East Dulwich is seeking a full-time nanny for their first baby, who will be 11 months old in January 2025, when they would like the candidate to start. The mother is currently on maternity leave and plans to return to work in February 2025. Both parents will work outside the home during the week, except for two days when the mother will work from home. This will be a sole charge role, there will be a 4 week transition period where the nanny will work alongside the mother, before the mother returns to work in February.
They are looking for a mature, warm, and energetic nanny with plenty of experience caring for babies of a similar age. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an interest in cooking healthy meals from scratch, and baking. They should have the ability to plan age-appropriate activities to support the baby's growth and developmental milestones and be experienced in following a routine and taking the baby to age-appropriate baby groups and activities in the local area.
Responsibilities:
Provide nurturing and attentive care for an 11-month-old boy.
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that support the child's development.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child from scratch.
Maintain a clean and organised environment for the child, including tidying up play areas and managing the child's laundry.
Communicate effectively with the parents about the child's progress and daily activities, sending regular updates and photos upon request.
Provide two evenings of babysitting per month, as agreed upon with the family.

About the Family:
The family is warm and welcoming, and they are looking for the right person to fit into their family and stay with them for the foreseeable future. They also have an energetic Cocker Spaniel, so they are looking for a nanny who is comfortable with dogs, enjoys being around pets, and can model safe and appropriate interactions with animals for the baby. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, be naturally tidy and organised, and ideally live locally to East Dulwich with knowledge of the area.

Previous experience in a long-term role with babies.

Non-Negotiable:
3+ years of full-time experience with babies.
Up-to-date DBS certificate.
Paediatric First Aid training (or willingness to renew ahead of January 2025).
Excellent, contactable references from 2+ employments.
