Full Job Description

Providing attentive and personalised care to both children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. This can be for one of the children at any one time or on occasion sole charge of both.
- Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Conducting nursery drop-offs and pick-ups as needed, ensuring that all items needed for nursery are packed and ready
- Managing nursery duties such as maintaining cleanliness of the children's areas, organising toys, and preparing meals and snacks
- Helping out with cooking for the family. This household would love to find a nanny who is happy to batch cook for them
- Assisting in potty training the toddler, offering guidance and encouragement to foster independence
- Changing nappies for the baby, ensuring hygiene and comfort
- Creating a structured daily routine that balances activity and rest periods, adapting to the family's schedule and needs
- Communicating regularly with parents about the children's progress, any concerns, and activities undertaken
- Providing occasional evening babysitting services as required
- Accompanying the family on trips, providing support and care during travel
- Offering flexibility to adapt to changing family needs and schedules
- Plan and prepare educational activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on key areas such as communication, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development
- Engage children in sensory play and exploratory activities to stimulate their curiosity and cognitive growth
- Incorporate storytelling and music sessions to develop language skills and encourage creative expression
- Conduct outdoor play sessions to promote physical health and well-being, emphasising the importance of nature and physical activity
- Laundry and ironing for the children's clothes, ensuring they are clean and neatly stored
- Cleaning and tidying the children's bedrooms and play areas to maintain a safe and organised environment
- Restocking and organising the children's supplies such as nappies, wipes, and other essentials
- Help around the home with general tidying (when there is time)

This family who are relocating to Hove from London in November are looking to secure a nanny with local knowledge and experience to support them and their two young boys. They would love to work with someone who can help get them set up for success in their new home and to work around schedules; nursery hours TBC. They have worked with a nanny in London for years and so are looking for their next person who will become a part of the family. Ideally, the nanny will have a background in childcare and children's education. Knowledge of the EYFS would be seen as a benefit.

Charges: 2 boys, 12 weeks and 22 months
Driver Driver required
Other: Opportunity to travel with the family through the year
Nice to have: Spanish speaker would be a bonus
Desired: Someone who is a keen cook is preferred, Patience and understanding to handle children's emotions and needs calmly
