About Maya: Maya, 15, enjoys music, drama, singing, and activities like trampolining and swimming. Diagnosed with Autism and Dyspraxia, she faces sensory overload and emotional dysregulation, often triggered by loud noises or bad days at school. Maya uses the zones of regulation and sensory tools (ear defenders/music headphones) to manage her emotions. She's working on motor skills with OT support and needs guidance in social settings and certain safety tasks like crossing the road. Role Overview: As a Female SEN Support Worker, you'll provide after-school care for Maya. Starting at 12pm, duties include light housekeeping, meal prep, and activity planning. You'll support Maya's socialisation, independence, and take her to activities like boxercise and trampolining. During school holidays, you'll plan outings for her. Who Would Suit This Role: The ideal candidate shares Maya's interests, particularly music and drama, and is confident in supporting autistic young people. You'll manage behaviours, prevent meltdowns, and implement effective strategies. Driving is a plus, but a car can be provided during work hours.

Essential: Experience with autistic young people, managing emotional dysregulation, and implementing strategies. Strong communication skills. Non-smoker/vaper. Female candidates only
