Full Job Description
Overview of role: Georgie requires a Therapy Assistant to provide 1:1 support during her therapy appointments, which will include driving Georgie to and from her medical and therapy appointments at hospital, community clinics and school. The Therapy Assistant will implement therapy advice and plans as instructed both at home and in the community, work in collaboration with her parents, case management team, therapists and other healthcare professionals. As Georgie struggles with fatigue, her Therapy Assistant will help her to recognise the signs before she 'crashes', which in turn will reduce the joint and muscle pain she experiences. Georgie wants to keep up with her peers, is very active and loves to play and have fun; these are all areas where subtle support is required. This role is all about facilitating Georgie, promoting her independence and supporting her overall development.
