Full Job Description

The NS Technical Sales Engineer will collate customer feedback and competitor intelligence to identify regional market trends and strengthen sales arguments; Gather "voice of the customer" data to assist product developments and product management; Develop customer relationships to assist with collaboration on the creations of application note; Work with the Measurement and Applications team to support and document measurements in the Application Laboratories ; Help maintain technical sales collateral and communicate product updates to the local sales team; and assist the US sales team in defining technical solutions for customers. This is a remote position, with requirements to travel to OI office locations and various customer sites across the US. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support Product & Application Training to the US sales team
  • Attend scientific conferences in the Americas territory
  • Commit to continuing personal development and enhancing your understanding of the OINS customer base, and their requirements from our products
  • Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably required by the Company.
  • Take personal responsibility for your health and safety and for that of others who may be affected by your actions and behaviour. Comply with the Company's arrangements for health, safety and environmental protection.

    The right person for this role is a highly driven and enthusiastic professional who is able to able to converse highly technical topics to end users or internal stake holders; write and understand scientific publications or equivalent technical literature; is familiar with the selling process for scientific instrumentation or capital equipment; and has the ability to work unsupervised remotely. A Physical sciences degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) and experience with Low Temperature, High Magnetic field or similar Physics measurement technique is required. Experience of measurement automation is highly desireable.
