Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced National Finance Director to lead the finance department and guide a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. You will ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders and you will act as a business partner to align the company's financial strategy with the long-term goals and objectives of the business. You will also drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting methodologies in cooperation with Corporate Finance and Finance Knowledge Centre., As a National Finance Director, you will play an integral part in the National Management Team and have an overall responsibility and accountability to oversee all financial aspects of the companies based in the United Kingdom, finance department and finance team, the flow of financial information to senior management and external parties in alignment with global financial strategy of Kuehne+Nagel. The National Finance Manager is also responsible for the oversight of the IT function.,

  • Collaborate with the national management team to develop and refinethe company's financial strategy, aligning with long-term goals andobjectives of the business and finance.

  • Manage financial resources of the company and resource planning.

  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to guidebudgeting, resource allocation and financial performance assessment.

  • Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting guidelines tosafeguard company's assets and ensure compliance with all relevantinternal and statutory financial regulations and standards.

  • Identify potential financial risks and opportunities and developstrategies to mitigate risks while capitalizing on growth prospects.

  • Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and legal teams tofacilitate financial audits, compliance assessments and compliance withcompany secretarial obligations.

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting,treasury, taxation, controlling, procurement, payroll, and financialreporting.

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and capitalexpenditure to optimize financial stability and efficiency.

    Bachelors' degree in finance, economics, commerce or relevant field.

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified ispreferred or strong financial accountingbackground gained from experience of managing finance department ininternational environment, preferably in logistic industry.

  • Extensive accounting experience with minimum 5 years of leadershipexperience in a similar role heading up a finance department ininternational environment.

  • Team oriented with people management skills and experience inworking with and leading a multi-cultural team with a range ofcapabilities comprised of junior level to senior professionals in carryingout departmental functions.

  • High level of attention to detail; follows through on tasks toensure completion in general accordance with quality standards.

  • Excellent English communications skills in both spoken and written.
