This post is in our Commercial Billing Team in the National Income Service. Joining this crucial area of the business, you will work as part of the team in Time and Materials, whilst supporting General Drainage Charges when required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and confident person to join our dispersed team. This is an administration role focused on ensuring accurate charges are raised for Time and Materials and General Drainage Charges. This involves running reports and using Microsoft Excel to sort the data into the information required for SSCL to raise the invoices. You will be required to identify any errors in the process and investigate and correct them. You will also be required to answer queries via email and telephone.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure customers are billed correctly

  • Liaise with outsourced finance services (SSCL), other internal teams and customers

  • Provide a comprehensive administrative support service ensuring processes are followed, and improved over time

  • Take a one team approach to workload management

  • Work within financial rules, controls and processes


  • The team

    The National Income Service sits within National Regulation and Monitoring. You will be joining the Commercial Billing Team, which includes General Drainage Charges and Time and Materials billing.

    As this role will be part of a geographically dispersed team, some travel will be required for meetings such as Birmingham/Peterborough/Leeds/Warrington/Sheffield. Base location is flexible, and we are currently working in a hybrid way., Sets and delivers high work standards, demonstrates the drive to meet targets.
