Full Job Description

To support clinicians ensuring the Trust participated in National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR) .
Extracting data as needed from designated data sources to support NMTR and related high priority audits within the Trust.
Responsible for data submissions to NMTR relating to trauma patients
Validating data entered onto the NMTR database
Contributing to collation and analysis of data for designated clinical audits, National Major Trauma Registry co-ordinator - Band 4
Full-time -37.5 hrs per week, 11 months Fixed-term
Collates and completes data submissions for NMTR within agreed timelines, working with the trauma team and clinical audit team. This involves being responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and reliable data to NMTr. Identification (using NMTR inclusion criteria) of patients admitted with traumatic injuries and subsequent completion of data submissions via the NMTR. Liaising with the Trust Trauma Lead on a regular basis.
Capturing the relevant information from the notes, required as part of the NMTR database. Submitting the appropriate data onto the NMTR database ensuring that the data is accurate and complete by using data from multiple electronic applications - e.g. Soliton (radiology system), patient manager (iPM) and Clinical Manager (iCM). Ensuring data is submitted in a timely manner in line with the national standards and those expected by the Trauma Unit. Escalating any missing or inaccurate data or impending deadlines for submission to ensure complete and accurate data. Assisting clinicians and managers in the interpretation of information from the reports generated from the national audit and identify areas requiring further audit and change.
Contributes to supporting the smooth operation of the clinical audit service and supports clinical audit team members to delivery the Trust's clinical audit programme.
