Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy Trauma Service Office (TSO) Team for the position of National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR) Coordinator.
Working within the Major Trauma Service administration team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activity of major trauma patients from admission through to discharge.

As a member of our Trauma Service Office team you will play a key role alongside other members of the team to collect and submit major trauma patient information to NMTR, as part of the Major Trauma Centre national mandated audit process, within agreed timelines.
This post will support the Major Trauma Delivery Manager and Quality Manager with data and information handling across the major trauma system.

The post requires excellent computer & communication skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and the ability to interpret various data sources/database systems used within the service.

For this role you will work largely under your own initiative to carry out a range of complex administrative tasks, including uploading patient information using Trust and external electronic systems. Therefore, you will be expected to work efficiently, with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Sharing ideas with others to improve service delivery and transformation.

To assist in the provision of a diverse range of administration support to the Trauma Service Office and to ensure timely, accurate and reliable information is collected/collated in preparation of patient data submissions to the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR). This will involve updating patient clinical information in multiple hospital systems, including a bespoke major trauma patient database for all patients admitted to the Trust with major trauma injuries., At Cambridge University Hospitals, we want to do all we can to support good working days.
